For me, any character typed in upper case stops the editing, and
instead, brings the focus back to the main window and starts a search-
as-you-type search (with the upper case character as the first letter in
the search text). I use Dvorak keybord layout.

BTW, renaming the bookmark fines fine via Bookmarks->Bookmarks... and
then changing the "Name" field of the specific bookmark.
