- how do you add the event (using the menu, clicking on a day)
I am adding the day directly from the Calendar interface. I click on a day and
add it that way. It appears I see the same problem from the menu too.

I have a Hardy Heron installation that is kept updated on a near daily
basis. Since moving to Hardy I have been experiencing this problem where
fast-forwarding into a podcast file ( mp3 / ogg ) causes the player to
hang and need to ultimately be killed.

I have been updating Hardy on a regular basis. I have had a problem with
the gnome-settings-daemon crashing on login for the last month. I logged
a problem before but it was shutdown because the failure didn't result
in a crash file that could be uploaded. I found that if I go
running the command from the commandline I receive the following error
and still for the record no crash file in /var/crash...
:~> gnome-settings-daemon --sync
The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.

Well thats great, but when I go to /var/crash I do not see a crash file
for gnome-settings-daemon. It seems that you should try and verify
circumstances prior to arbitraily invalidating a problem report. The
problem hasn't gone away, I just don't specifically see a crash file for

I was using totem to stream and play an mp3 audio file. Along the way
the browser died while I was somewhere in the middle of the song. The
only crash-report was for the totem-video-thumbnailer.
I'm running a fully updated Feisty Fawn. The totem package versions are listed
