On Ubuntu 22.10 I was able to connect a xbox one controller. However,
this only worked after upgrading the firmware of the controller to the

Lately I have been using the controller with a wireless adapter (not

I have the latest Ubuntu 20.04 and it also seems to have this bug. There
are workarounds, but I think it should work out of the box like it does
on Windows. It is weird to have this kind of bug as Xbox One controller

There was a workaround in previous versions. That was to use VLC instead
of totem. However, now ubuntu raring is showing off sync problems in VLC
also. XBMC seems to work ok in raring.

It seems there is also a problem with copying files from the share. I
tried to copy a small file from the share to my desktop. Nautilus gave
me a popup saying that memory allocation failed. I have over 1 GB of

I think the problem happens for all files despite their size. In fact,
if I copy a file to the share, the file is copied to the share, but its
size is truncated to 0.
I connected the share by searching from nautilus places - network and
there wippies - wd_extern011.
