First, thanks for the fix, it works perfectly.
Second, I think that it probably isn't necessary, but it would be nice. In
Nautilus a double click already works and opens an editor for .tex files, but
f.e. Gnome Do only tries to open it using xdg-open, but fails silently.
The user should at least
