Hi Paul,
The issue is not present on 16.04. I think it's safe to consider this
one invalid for currently supported versions.
Thanks & Happy New Year

I have the same issue on 16.04. Using Online Accounts to add my Google
account does give me my Drive files. But the calendar is not listed
(options only for files & photos). The Gnome Calendar is empty.
Thunderbird + Lightening + Google Intergration does give calendar access
in Thunderbird.

Resolve the issue (using the 1024 file transfer method described in the
OP).

@seb123, I'm not the OP, but I do use an external display via VGA

(and it won't be available for two weeks to test with).

Logging out and back in clears it on 16.04 64-bit. Until next time, of
course. I only installed fresh today so I'll try to itemize potential
actions to trigger this. I had:
Deleted files from a mounted samba share
Deleted local files with standard permissions (downloaded debs from
Telegram.com,
Confirming for 16.04 (Xenial), the status needs to be changed to reflect
this - or a new bug needs to be created. Please advise.

This is actually caused by the WIFI =ON stops GPS bug. Disabling wifi
gives me location data.

Public bug reported:
I'm on a short holiday in Iceland and location services has noghing to
offer any of the location based apps I normally use like Here maps, GPS
app and the nearby scope. I can provide any hlpful data but will only be
in this country for two more days.
** Affects:
Most of my reaction to this is non-technical so I'll save it for another
forum. But I'm disappointed that this is the outcome after two-years when
this was first reported. I agree with Jay Philips above that other apps are
managing this scenario for their users.
