We have 10 notebooks (Dell Latitude E4300) all with Ubuntu 9.10 (5 32
bits, and 5 64 bits).
All with this problem. I don't belive that all 10 HD's are failing =D

This problem is only on dapper, I think.
On edgy, have had one upgrade to fix it.
But it's good to know that will not need some upgrade on festy ;)

Hello Sebastien,
I'm using Dapper, installed on this way:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompositeManager/AIGLXOnDapper
My video card is:
Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML
And I'm using the driver i810 with 24 depht of color on my xorg 7.0.0.
On gmplayer, I'm using the xv driver,
Hello Sebastien,
Yes, the ntfs-3g now can be able to write on this partitions :)
http://lunapark6.com/?p=1710
I think that the problem is, on edgy, the locale on fstab:
#/dev/hda1 /windows ntfs-3g auto,silent,locale=pt_BR.iso88591,umask=0 0 0
/dev/hda1 /windowsntfs-3g
I'm has this problem too, and this patch has been solved my problem very
well, but I need to do one little workaround to make possible this use
on my dapper.
Normal users can expect this patch on dapper (downgrade nautilus 2.17.1
- 2.14.3)? to get this bugfix using apt/synaptic? :-)
PS: Saying
I can see my movies using mplayer with other output driver, using totem
is really impossible :(
