I did a fresh install of Feisty and I followed the Chieffo's suggest of
creating a new user account, but didn't solved the problem.
The partitions appears only if i restart dbus (and hal with it).
Moreover, i would like to say that the partitions are correctly mounted
(mount points in /media aren'
Same problem here. I have to edit /etc/network/interfaces at every
startup to let the connections working.

A lot of users don't use composite window managers, so I can't really
see the reason to force the default installation of those packages.

(partitions, removable drives ecc) appears also a disk named "dev" that
is /dev/.static/dev directory. This entry appears insted of
"Filesystem".
This problem doesn't occurs in Nautilus though.

Same problem here. The bug seems indipendent from the used theme.

I noticed that this "disk" appears after I restart dbus.
I have to restart it to visualize my partitions on the desktop.
