Since Ubuntu Jaunty, mouse threshold has a different behaviour. I'm sure
you didn't have this problem in previous versions with threshold=1.
This problem is also in Karmic.

I also have an issue with this. I dont like any acceleration, this means
that the cursor should move no matter how fast I move my mouse.
Surprisingly in intrepid, I achieved this by setting the acceleration
bar to the right and the sensitivity bar to the left.

I have attached a screenshot of the problem, there are two shots: before
(top) and after (bottom).
I have opened two nautlius windows: "linux" (focused) and "Examples"
(unfocused).
I press Control on my keyboard and select files from "Examples" but as you can
