I have this same problem. This was a fresh install if the 32bit desktop
on an atom chip.
I also see this message in the .xsession-errors file:

Unfortunately , this problem seems to be quite sporadic as so far I had
no luck replicating it :-(
But anyway, there is pic attached and this is what happened: As you can
see, the copy process is fine and running, but that time you were unable
to show it. If you clicked, the folder opens, but
I'm going to be even more precise: I never saw the copy dialog in the
first place, just the small one on the icon. When I copied the second
folder then I realized it was not possible to show it in full.

hours format AGAIN in Lucid 10.04 RC, at only few days from final release. In

Yes, I can confirm too, that the 12-hours format is the most common in
Colombia. Valid ways are: AM/PM, am/pm.
By the way, I reported the missing option in 9.04 (bug 337583) but they
said "we know it" and that was it...
