I've tried, but the function seems to be disabled when the menu is
activated.

I'm shocked that Nautilus is missing this functionality. Ideally, i'd
like it to function like Firefox (as suggested by a forum poster), along
with the ability to drag drop items into the main toolbar. At the
moment, this and the network settings manager are my only gripes with
gnome/Ubuntu.
