Evince stuck with "Loading..." and empty page for
Alright, it took many minutes but it eventually did load the PDF and now
I can view it. So I guess this is more like performance issue that
Firefox's PDF viewer can do better on this file than Evince.

Public bug reported:
I was viewing
https://www.ecfr.eu/page/ECFR269_EU_COALITION_EXPLORER_2018_V1.10.pdf in
Firefox which works fine and fast, and then I decided to download it and
view it alter with Evince. However, in Evince, the viewing pane never
shows anything but "Loading..." in upper right
I still see this with Evince 3.24.0 on Zesty.

I am on 15.04. That it does not happen to you does not mean it does not
happen to others.

nothing more to say, except expletives.

I have one more bit of information to add. I have just logged in and
clicked into and Emacs X11 window. The cursor in Emacs moved to the
place I have clicked onto but it stayed unfilled which means the Emacs
X11 window does not have focus. So, it seems like this whole issue has
something to do
For cross reference: #1483868.
