Shouldn't this bug be considered of high or even critical importance?
I mean, it apparently affects all amd64 laptop users and intrepid is due to be
released next week.

Deon Spengler: very nice finding. I can confirm following your
instructions indeed leads to a memory leak. It may not be the same as we
have experienced now and then, but it is in any cases, a very serious
one. Could someone forward that upstream?

I can confirm this on intrepid with deskbar-applet 2.24.1-0ubuntu1.
Makes the shortcut rather useless.

I agree with David: there is a bug, we have seen it both. We only need
to find a way to reproduce it.
Well, I think changing the indexing preferences (like adding a path or
changing the language of the stemmer) will trigger the building
operation. Unfortunately, I don't have time for this right no
Here is an example pdf (an svg from openclipart.org exported as pdf with

The default keymaps in /usr/share/xmodmap/ for use with xmodmap, have

This means shift-tab works exactly the same as tab, and thus you can't

When viewing a pdf in evince, the scrolling is quite strange after
reloading and while the "Index" side pane is visible. This bug happens
when the view is set to "Continuous". When you scroll out of a page and

Here is an example pdf. Notice the bug doesn't happen when scrolling from page

Make sure you have a sufficient zoom level to clearly see the bug (on my
1280x800, it is clearly visible at 100%).
