What's the difference from the user point of view: there is a thing which does
not work: change user in gnome.

I don't know if this bug is reproduced in new ubuntu versions. I fixed this bug
with the solution they provided me.
If you say that Gnome 2.22 fixed this bug, good news. I hope no one will open

Can you put information of filesystem activity in the task list in
gnome-system-monitor.
It's useful for detecting overload of filesystems for one task. For example
beagle and metatracker uses more filesystem, so desktop users could see that
this process consumes more
I am using 7.10 Gusty Gibbon on a Dell Dimension 4500 1gz, i had the
same problem happen to me. It really irritated me, after 15 minutes i
would have to unplug the computer and restart. I wasn't able to change
