Pidgin 2.0.0beta7---the first version named "Pidgin" by upstream---has been released (see http://www.pidgin.im/). I guess the time has come to create a Pidgin package for Gutsy and remove the existing Gaim package (at least after Pidgin 2.0.0 will have been released later this week).
