Well I am a more than a little confused... So I see that F-Spot does
not appear to change the exif information of my pictures but importing
them still causes the time shift on the date/time when viewed in the
program and in the creation of the folder archive. This is a very minor
improvement to
mattrenfer, I've had some success with the ATI proprietary drivers so I
think it would be worth a try for you. It appears your particular card
only has legacy support so if the driver doesn't work very well for you
you'd better go back to the open source one because there will not be
any
That sounds like the right driver and that is the how to I used. You
should be able to deactivated it at the System/Administrative/Hardware
Drivers tool after it is installed.

Well I don't know if this bug (if it truly should have been considered
such) was actually fixed with an update or not. I just reinstalled my
system after running into it and not finding anyone that could help me
in a couple weeks. I have not attempted to recreate, though I guess it
