Thanks for replying - I'm completely lost with GREB - is there any way
to install a more DOS like command line?
Here's my attempt to answer - I asked GREB to find file names that I
know exist on the disk, e.g. mike*.* but got instantaneous zero
results which means it probably looked only in the small Ubuntu
partition.
I again tried the file browser appl came with Ubuntu searched for the
same name. After a long time it did find the file so case closed - I
suppose it was user error BUT I still claim I was misled during the
setup to think the folder names which were consistent with windows
were just that. In fact they're different which I'd like to fix but
will have to spend some time first.
