It looks like evolution is a 32bit application not using the 32bit
libraries. Therefore its going better, when one is launching evolution
from a terminal and issuing "export GTK_PATH=/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0" before
"evolution" to launch it.
In ubuntu 10.10 with evolution 2.8 everything worked fine and

There are less errors* and warnings when one issues "export
