gnome-vfs is being replaced with gvfs in ubuntu hardy (8.04).
Any chance you could test this to check to see if it still occurs in the latest
hardy beta (http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/hardy/beta)?

Nautilus gives a "generic error" when attempting to copy files over ssh without
read permission
I'm running gutsy, updated today (20070918), and still have issues with the

Thanks Erik, i grabbed the source for the package (and dependencies including
libsmbios, compiled and installed the deb, added the module dcdbas to
/etc/modules and it worked fine (on a dell d620).
Looks like the debs in gutsy still aren't built with dell-backlight support
correctly - they don't

On my upgrade from 9.10 I was absolutely aghast to see the new position
for the window controls. I have read the justifications on the various
