Workaround - create blank files on the removable drive named
".Trash-1000", ".Trash-1001", and so on as needed. Since it cant create
a folder because a file already exists with the same name, it asks if it
can permanently delete. At least this worked for me with a FAT32 SD
card.
Kind of awkward
I have this issue on a netbook running karmic. As a few others may have
pointed out, this should not depend on the password being typed in at
login. Some of use use auto-login for young children that have trouble
with passwords.

Hi, I also find this bug wildly annoying. It blocks the time display.
Gosh. I have to put the pointer over the message to get rid of it so I
can find out what time it is. Is there an alternate version of
