After a log out and log in, this seems to be fixed. I'm not entirely

runnning sublime text 2 from console launchs the app but gives many
error messages, which have to be terminated by control+c:

This has been reproducible with rhythmbox-0.12.5 using the following
procedure:
1) Put a CD in the drive, let rhythmbox detect the CD, and start playback
2) Pause the music
3) Eject the CD (from the rhythmbox eject button)
4) Reinsert the same CD in the drive, and let rhythmbox detect it
5) Start
Confirmed here too, the VM (under VMware Workstation) simply powered
off. These are the only messages logged to the local syslog daemon:

I've uploaded stb.log and time-admin.log as requested. The stb-
services.log file was empty. I noticed today that the machine powers off
about a second after a 'Enabling NTP' GUI progress box appears.

Nautilus window still hangs when opening the trash that already contains
an icon with an emblem created with the older GVFS. Does the fix simply

sound--CM6501 is seen as a usb device. once i had configured the sound to usb

line mode. Period.
I do not ever use FF off line. Why should FF ever switch off line in my
computer? No other browser I use ha
amp; connect Sierra card.
WIFI is disabled usually. My symptoms are much like his.
Every thing works except Firefox.

Firefox3 is now staying on line in one computer. Network Manger
has been removed. Network Manager was problematic in general. NM
would not leave ethernet port off. NM would not consistently use
only one preferred wlan port.
Without NM, kppp still does my Internet connection and FF3 is

firefox goes offlin
inimal attention & no errors. Kubuntu not as easy, not
automatic install, but rarely has off line problem. Debian KDE also stays on
line.
