Just wanted to chime in on the upgrade path problem. I also upgraded
from Ubuntu 17.10 and I also never set this shortcut anywhere. I have
always used Super+Space and I have never used the Gnome Tweaks tool
before. Using it to disable the shortcut fixed all the issues and the
shortcuts using Shift

navigation shortcuts work consistently!

Sticky edges make sense when the dock is mounted to the edge shared by
two screens. However, the sticky edge remains active even with the dock
is mounted to the bottom of the screen or the edge opposite the shared
edge between screens. There's no reason to hang the mouse when there's

I have tested the precise-proposed version of gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio
and I can verify that is solves the crash we see with the vanilla

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I can only reproduce the problem
using a some of our closed source code, and even then it's a relatively
uncommon crash. I only had a small amount of time playing around trying
to trigger the bug in a minimal test, but were unable to do so.

I got tired of waiting for this to be fixed, so I implemented a
workaround.
I moved the gedit binary to gedit.bin, then I created a shell-script
named "gedit" that calls gedit.bin with the --standalone option:
% mv /usr/bin/gedit /usr/bin/gedit.bin
