But the problem is with Evolution, not Firefox. I can copy/paste the
long URL into an OpenOffice Writer document, and when I use the link
from that, Firefox properly opens to the eBay page for the example that
I gave.

I do have apport enabled, and I do normally get automatic crash
reporting. However, I've seen a number of times where Evolution will
just disappear with any notification or crash report. That's why I

This Evolution crash is weird. It just disappeared without any
notification. Usually I get an icon in the top panel that warns me that
an app crashed, and allows me to upload the debug info. I had to upload
this info manually via ubuntu-bug. I've had a few similar Evolution

I took a look at the DebuggingProgramCrash web page that you indicate.
However, at the bottom of the page, there's a question How do I undo
the debugging changes and go back to my normal configuration, and the
