I tested this and it works for me without any issues in Lucid updated as
of 2010-04/06.
I was able to start Rhythmbox, then copy a new song into my library
folder and then do a search for it in Rhythbox. It did take about 5
seconds for the song to appear but it was seen by Rhythmbox.

touchpad tab does not show up under System - Preferences - Mouse. I've

This appears to be related to plymouth. Reverting plymouth to the last
known working version,. 0.8.0~-7, clears up the garbage, but mountall
depends on 0.8.0~-10ubuntu1.

This just started after the latest gdm updates. The gdm / X session
spontaneously restarts.
I am also reporting bug 535316, which started happening at the same
time, and wondering if they might be related in terms of a random
garbage to a VT causing
64 bit lucid (current as of datestamp to this message).
Open .jpeg image on desktop. maximize to fullscreen. Attempt to use the mouse
scroll to zoom.
Program becomes unresponsive and then crashes.
Same result when attempting to use the "zoom" icons in the menu bar.

Empty trash for one account deletes the the content of the trash folders for
all accounts
