I have found that in trying Xubuntu 10.10 the problem went away, now that i've
reloaded ubuntu netbook 10.10 the problem is back. I have no idea why so the
choice is stick with the error or change to xubuntu10.10

I get a similar error, in lucid,
the error is "the panel encountered a problem while loading OAFIID :
GNOME_FASTER USER SWITCH APPLET,
It then asks if you want to delete the applet from the configuration, you say
yes and its still present the next time you log in, any ideas?
