GIMP 2.10.34-1
I can sometimes get a couple brush strokes in, but consistently, the
program crashes quickly once I start using the drawing tablet. I thought
maybe it had something to do with multi-monitor setup, but it happens
when only using one monitor as well

This affects me too, external monitors only work when using the Nvidia
card exclusively on my laptop, so fractional scaling is a must, but it
just flickers and selects 200% instead.

I saw a similar problem in 16.04 with PDFs being opened with
ImageMagick. Trying to open With Document Viewer and set that as the
default made no change. I saw in mimeapps.list that there was both an
image/pdf and an applications/pdf entry. I removed the image/pdf entry
that pointed to ImageMagi

You're correct that the bug in that link is different. However, the
identical issue has been replicated by me and several office mates in
nautalis, chromium and firefox running independently installed and
configured versions of ubuntu gnome 16.04.2. Re add chromium here?

Installing xwayland did not seem to solve it for me. Upon reboot, gdm
still just loads a grey screen. I cannot even seem to CTRL+ALT+F1 to
get to another tty session in order to fix it. I have to boot to
recovery, remount as read-write and then dpkg-reconfigure lightdm back
to using lightdm.

When I click the system menu in the top right corner of Unity and then
click "Lock", the buttons don't always work. I can type my password and
hit enter, which works as expected and unlocks the screen. However, the
majority of the time the buttons "Switch user..." and "Unlock"
Good call, @maarten-fonville! I am also using two-factor authentication.
I'm not going to disable it to test. I have not noticed or checked
whether the problem occurs without two-factor authentication.

multiple monitors and the NVidia drivers produces an error dialog that
says "RANDR extension is not present" - as a result, at least one of my
users is unable even to access the sticky edge setting (they worked

got the problem... i used customized font as the system default font...
seems that evince is not able to handle it correctly..
changed to one of the font provided by the system and it is showing fine
now

I see this intermittently as well. I'm using 11.04 Classic on a Dell
laptop.
Usually this occurs when I wake up the computer after it was suspended,
especially if it was not docked when suspended, and then I dock to wake
it up. (The dock has an external monitor attached.)
Restarting nautilus wo
More specifically, sometimes after a wake-up my entire theme is wrong,
and it looks like a default Gnome theme has been applied. Re-selecting
my theme in Appearances fixes everything except Nautilus itself (i.e.,
the title bar is fixed, but not the "internal" window). So I see the

They show correctly in Adobe Reader in XP...

Upon starting up 11.10, if the first move made is to open the Home
Folder and then click Downloads from the sidebar, nautilus crashes.
Only clicking Downloads from the list of folders will open it from the
Home Folder.

I think it has to do with the gnome-control-panel... For some reason
when it comes back after "turn off" it keeps the back light set to 0...
But it does not do it with suspend where it restores the screen
properly.
