Confirmed, this happens with my phone (Nexus 5) on Ubuntu 14.04 / Mint
17.1. Shotwell 0.18.0
Workaround, from:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+question/157569
Shotwell is supposed to popup a dialog asking you to unmount, however there
are cases where this doesn't work.

Actually, this 'bug' is the only way I found to open a new instance of gedit,
which I like to do.
If it is fixed, it would be nice to get a new Unity quicklist for gedit in the
launcher to Open a new text editor

Thanks Paul. There is already an option for that in the Nautilus GUI:
Edit Preferences Behavior: Ask before emptying the trash or deleting files..
This bug is actually about getting an option to warn the user before sending
files to the trash.
I'll update the title of the bug.

I have changed the title to better reflect the situation:
the current behavior is working as designed, this bug is about get getting a
new feature: an option to get a warning.
The Importance of the bug should be changed to wishlist.

The problem with Home is that is can be confused with /home. Plus it sounds
like a buzzword, like Start.
I would call it user folder or user directory.
