Soft or hard mounted, still does the same thing.

This problem has been going on for awhile. Probably as long as NFS has been

I don't think this will ever be "fixed". it's not a bug, just a design flaw.

Same problem here. Bring down server and nautilus hangs on client. Looked
into the bookmarks fix, I don't even have bookmarks for NFS folders.
