I have this problem on Trusty Tahr, but it doesn't only happen at
login. I have three keyboard layouts installed - Danish, Swedish and US
English (the actual keyboard layout is US english), and I often find
that it happens while I'm in the middle of typing a sentence, suddenly
writing ;, ', [

Public bug reported:
As reported in other bugs, Evince scrolling is working very poorly when
using my laptop trackpad (no fancy multi-gesture stuff, just normal two-
finger scroll).
As describd in other reports, it is lagging and jumpy, but often,
instead of scrolling, it zooms in or out instead
I opened a new bug exactly because the behavior described in the summary was
*not* described in any other bugs.
The as described part was the part about jagged, lagging scroll.

Binary package hint: empathy
When I start up Empathy in my Lucid Beta 2 install, I sometimes get up
to around 10 subsequent popup notifications that telepathy-butterfly has
closed unexpectedly. My WLM account logs in just fine.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
If I have done something wrong when reporting the bug, I would very much
appreciate being told so so I can correct it the next time. Otherwise I
am left with the feeling that my testing and bug reporting effort is not
really being appreciated.

Sorry for my late reply. I've made a couple of updates since I filed the
bug, and been using Xgl/Compiz since.
But now, back in ordinary Xorg/Metacity, I find the problem is
apparently fixed.
Thanks for the attention.

Yes, I have an ATI card.
Maybe it\s an x.org issue, I don\t know much about that. I just noted
that when I kill nautilys the background draws correctly, that\s why I
suspected Nautils.
