I tried preinstalled nautilus 3.4.2 in Ubuntu 12.10 in a virtualbox
machine and the problem was solved. It displays the correct file size
and file count. See the attached picture. Thank you all very much

It seems that you are right about nautilus but in my case folders
proc/media causing the problem.
