Yes ,it is reproducible with Karmic . I attached a video of the bug :
It starts on the desktop ,then "Ctrl + Alt + L " is pressed to lock the
screen. After that the screensaver is displayed . By clicking it away,
the formular arrives ...

If you lock the screen and want to re-login with the right(!) password ,instead
of getting re-logged-in, an error is displayed : "Incorrect password".
Only with "change user" you can again re-login .
