Hi Daniel,
You were correct! It was in fact dash to panel that was causing the
issue. Disabled all extensions and log out/in, lock the machine -> wakes
up without issue. Enable dash to panel, relog, lock -> cant wake up.

the bug happens to me too. gnome-screensaver just fades to black. it
started happening after i enabled aiglx. i'm using edgy, and the new
nvidia drivers. i get /usr/lib/xscreensaver/gears to output, but i'd
love to actually use gnome-screensaver and not resort to a completely
blank screen. I can't
