You have been subscribed to a public bug: I upgraded to Feisty and also installed Beryl and Emerald and they work. In Gnome, I remember having the option of "move to the work area on the right" or sth like that, when I made a right click on a window in the bottom bar. I don't know how to move open application to other areas.
