i'm using xfce and has the same bug, i suspect the game wants to use
alpha transparency but i use stacking window manager and not composite
and i use vesa video card driver.

renaming (something like) "mozilla thunderbird mail/news" to "mozilla
thunderbird mail news" solves the problem, so the bug is caused by the slash in
the name.

found this temporary workaround:
create a bash script
#!/bin/bash
gconftool-2 --set /apps/aisleriot/show_toolbar --type boolean true
gconftool-2 --set /apps/aisleriot/fullscreen --type boolean false
..and when your grandparents call you tell them to press alt+f2, no not
one-after-another, press
i think this is the cause (8.04.1):
tail ~username/.xsession-errors
"Treating resize request of legacy application 0x1A3 (AisleRiot) as a
fullscreen request"
this is a huge problem for me as i can not teach my elder relative how
to close an application with alt+f4.

/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-archive and /usr/share/gvfs/mounts/archive.mount files by
hand. please make it a package or put a checkbox in
