I tried to modify the Mergefile entry as follows: <MergeFile type="parent">/etc/xdg/xdg-xubuntu/menus/xfce- applications.menu</MergeFile>
Which is the correct path, and it still only shows the entries in the local file: ~/.config/menus/xfce-applications.menu so, I wonder if it's a problem with the Merge.
