Just ran into this nasty bug in Ubuntu 18.04. Hope it gets fixed soon
because i have some users that are non technical people and telling them
to CTRL + DEL + F1 is not a great way

the patch file works, i did this "patch -p0 -i opensubtitles.patch"
(dont know wht the p0 means) in the terminal with my .patch in
/usr/lib/totem/plugins/opensubtitles/opensubtitles.py

When i use the feature to download subtitles in totem, the movie plays ok with
the subtitles. But after it finishes the next movie in the playlist gives an
error msg and never starts.
