Sorry not to get back earlier but I upgraded to maverick and the
problem was resolved.

Thanks for your quick response.
The issue only occurs after using Sound Juicer. The CD is still listed
in the computer locations as a removable drive but there is no
response and you can't mount or unmount. It is not specific to audio
CDs. I have to do a restart to get it recognised again.
