You can add "sudo aptitude install nautilus-gksu" in a terminal and you
get an open as administrator on a right click on any folder or file in
nautilus now.

Nothing crashes
It is simply I don't think Multiple file browsers need to be automatically
opened perhaps as many as sixty and then automatically closed before the icon
changes
as to what is causing this I don't know
