I've found a workaround editing both this file :
~/.local/share/applications/nautilus.desktop
/usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop
and setting parameter StartupNotify=false

I'm running ubuntu 12.04 amd64 with failback sessione and i find always a dead
nautilus process hangs in memory.
Just after the boot i find a process "nautilus -n" that cause a slow opening of
other nautilus instance from GUI .
Afetr killing that process nautilus start very
I have discovered that the problem is a pendng process 'nautilus -n' that
remain in memory since startup.
After killing all nautilus process the program re-start instantly like from
terminal but after close also the new process remain in memory and the problem
appear again.
Now the question is :
This bug is still unassigned but it's really annoying wait 10 second to
get ready every time nautilus start from gnome fallback interface. Can
you assign an higher piority to this bug ?
