Unfortunately, I don't have the know-how to switch to a terminal if one
isn't already up, or the actual command to kill it.

When attempting to drag a folder or file from a file-roller window to a
PCManFM window, I get a dialog box which says something to the effect
of, You don't have permissions to extract to . The mouse pointer
becomes stuck as a hand, and the system no longer registers mouse
