I updated Ubuntu about a week ago and now Ubuntu will recognise my
digital camera. Fixed?

I am using 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 and I can confirm same issue with my
FinePix AX300. Ubuntu 12.04 was able to recognise my camera.
Reading pictures straight from memory card is working fine.

Unfortunately "dconf-editor"-method is just a temporary fix. Problem
reappears after some time.

File manager does not
On Ubuntu 14.04 with alacarte 3.10.x, icons will not appear even in the
parent submenus anymore. They will all go to "All Applications"-menu.
