Looks like there's a performance penalty for having the transparency
always on. Switching between different tabs is not fast as it used to be
on Karmic. It really holds back fast terminal switching, one of the main
things I liked in Ubuntu. This issue might need a higher priority

Confirmed fixed on Lucid.
It is possible to set default directory using the command:
zenity --file-selection --directory --filename=$HOME/
Hitting OK on the open dialog will print $HOME (w/o the last slash) to stdout
Note that it does not work if the last slash is omitted nevertheless this iss
