Same problem on a fresh Natty install.
It most certainly is not a gnome-panel bug, because it happens to other
programs too (gnome-terminal for example).
So it is probably a profiler bug, but a confirmed one nonetheless.

Gnome-Panels transparency isnt realy transparent
I've noticed it's not just Ctrl+C/X. For example F2 (rename file)
sometimes does not work either. This leads me to believe that it happens
with pretty much any key.

- icons added as application launcher
are all too large!

The new grey icons in Ubuntu Karmic are very nice, but they get mixed with the
other 3rd party icons, and everything just ends up being messy.
A simple fix would be to flag the grey ones as system icons and move them
over to the right,

Confirming for Jaunty. Scrolling is still horribly CPU intensive (in ALL
apps, not just gnome-terminal).
