I finally found out why the installed Applications were not showing up.
Check for Filters options while searching and select the Applications
button.
Mine was not selected so it was listing due to filters applied.

Bug not properly fixed
Running ubuntu gnome (15.04 & up to date)
using numix gnome theme and enabled dark theme in prferences.
The transparency is not active.
However for the current terminal window it can be acticated, if I
1) profile preferences -> colors -> move from none to full back and for
this bug affects me too. Really annoying

I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04, and the shadows appeared as
required.
I then installed the patched nautilus (nautilus elementary) from
https://launchpad.net/~am-monkeyd/+archive/nautilus-elementary-ppa.
After restarting my session, the right-click shadow disappeared.

The right click context menu on nautilus and the desktop does not have
a drop shadow, where as this is present for all the other right click
context menus that I have come across. I suggest consistency in the drop
shadows.

i have the same problem.Ill describe it anyways.
When my network disconnects for a long time (more than 2 mins. or so) then
network manager cannot connect to the same network again without restarting the
laptop or if i use the commands mentioned:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart
$ sudo

There is no particular reason why Totem Movie Player is opening on
startup,playing a song. I did pause the song then watched it, shut down
as normal, now every time I startup it opens?
