within Explorer or Command Prompt in Windows (XP anyway).

I would like to point out that I have Ubuntu installed on several
different machines (it's a good OS, can't blame me), laptops, PC's etc.
and I have wma files from several different sources (not just my ones
from years ago) and the same thing happens on all of them - incorrect
reading of track
This is broken even worse in XFCE.
GNOME Keyring is obviously being started via GDM in --login mode, but
then the --start part is not being done by default due to
/etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-daemon.desktop having OnlyShowIn=GNOME.
After I remove that line, I can see it's printing
Initially I wondered if Ubuntu had changed the order of the X login
scripts to invoke Bash before GNOME Keyring, which is why I didn't
report the bug upstream.
I still suspect that's the case, but that shouldn't matter: if the GNOME
Keyring is being started properly via PAM, then that should

I was using Ubuntu 8.10 with pam_gnome_keyring configured to start in
/etc/pam.d/gdm.
This used to start GNOME Keyring at login and work as my SSH agent,
meaning I could run ssh remote server and I didn't need to re-enter my

In Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty beta this seems to be solved. I burned an Audio CD
successfully the other day with only having a slight problem with the
track volume normalisation plugin (which I switched off). Jaunty uses
Brasero 2.25.92.

What I'll try and do is rip some files using WMP (preferable an oldish

A good test would be to add this file to a Jukebox program you use in
Windows (if you use still use it) and also to Rhythmbox and see if you
see the track number issue. I still haven't tried this in the likes of
Amarok or VLC (within Linux) yet and I'll try that later and report
back.

It turns out that if Alt-Shift is used to switch between keyboard
layouts (System-Preferences-Keyboard-Layouts-Other
Options...-Layout Switching, Alt+Shift change layout.), no other
shortcuts including Alt-Shift can be used.

No, that P4 is a good workhorse, not the most up to date CPU but still can
crunch numbers like hell. That's is an on-going flaw of Brasero - when you
add files to the Burn window, it analyses them and takes a long while to do
it, unless you do it file by file but thats hardly efficient, like it

only with that one. i tried about 5-6 times to reproduce it with
various delays between the three actions (rotate,save,close eog)
without success. i was not doing anything else at the time (no other
applications were open).

The theme was not in use at the time although I had used it briefly
