Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu 10.04 with all updates applied.

Have a dell mini 9 hooked up to an external display and the laptop LCD is
turned off.
Configured via Preferences => Monitors.
Entire desktop is on external display.

Use nautilus to browse files but occasionally when I double-click on a
file to open it, rather than opening the file on my external display,
the laptop LCD is turned on and the launched application is displayed on
the laptop LCD as opposed to the external display.

Not only does this not work as expected (application should be launched
and displayed on the external display) but it breaks my display
configuration (now both displays are turned on).

This happens occasionally and I don't see any pattern yet.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
