Export in 2.8 crashed the same way as Save As in 2.6 for PNG (for me)
until I changed my display manager.
So I guess not all GTK_IS_TREE_MODEL (tree_model)' failed errors are
equal. But I'm glad we both have a working GIMP again :)

This was fixed by adding an export option to the file dialog on linux.
