Thanks for the report. Could you try playing the file with gstreamer
(the engine which rhythmbox uses to play files) from the command line?
Something like
gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/your/file
and see if the same happens there.

You received this bug notification because
[paul@hagrid ~]$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///home/music/Kate\ Bush/50\
Words\ for\ Snow/03\ -\ Misty.flac
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...
Pipeline is PREROLLED ...
Setting pipeline to PLAYING ...
New clock: GstPulseSinkClock
Got EOS from element playbin0.
Cheers, so that shows that the problem isn't specific to Rhythmbox but
is due to something in GStreamer itself. Could you file a bug with the
upstream developers at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer ? Attaching
the file (if you are able) would help.

Could you test if playing stops with new rhythmbox 2.97 version?
You can install rhythmbox 2.97-1ubuntu1~precise1 from official gnome3-team

I've just re-extracted the track from the audio CD, the new file skips
in exactly the same place. The track plays fine from the audio CD.
