Also in 18.04 - after upgrade from 16.04. At some point the UI keyboard switcher is not available, so I stuck with locked screen. My input is switched from US to RU, so no way to pick the right symbols. An I tried to use a different shortcut - such as Ctrl-Space - it didn't work. -- You receive

But a workaround here is to assign some keys for changing keyboard layout. Go to System Settings > Keyboard Layout > Options (button on the bottom right) Under "key(s) to change layout" select an option, so you will be able to swith layouts in lock screen via keyboard. -- You received this bug n
