I observed a similar problem with recent Rhythmbox on 12.04:
Some titles or artist got merged for whatever reason, say 3 artists a b c
turned into a a, b a, b, c. Sometimes this would happen on the track
titles within an album; in that case a character limit seemed to hit, so not
even manually

I have relied on Rhythmbox for years, but it is unusable since upgrading to
Ubuntu 12.04, Rhythmbox version 2.96.
Previous version Rhythmbox 0.13.3 worked perfectly. Please fix!
Is there a kickstarter or something to get developers attention on this?

This is a very nasty bug and has ruined many files for me. Once some tags are
messed up it is very difficult to find and fix them.
Please update the urgency of this bug.
