I have a similar bug in Gutsy - Epiphany does not honour the Gconf /system/http_proxy/ settings. I have tried setting them via gnome- network-preferences and also via /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory schema. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gconftool -R /system/http_proxy use_http_proxy = true mode = manual

I managed to resolve this soon after my last comment - it appears that all of the above settings must be created under the /system/proxy/ key. As soon as I'd done that it started working. -- [Feisty] Network Proxy function use the same proxy for all protocols does not work any more

May I suggest that we raise this bug importance to medium? At least if confirmed. I mean that for mobile enterprise users who have to re-configure their proxy in each new places (e.g. the one at work, potentially the one at the customer or hotel, none at home) this is quite nice and an often

You are the only one who reported a bug and I don't have a proxy setup to try it so I'm letting the current settings for now, we can update if somebody else confirm the bug -- [Feisty] Network Proxy function use the same proxy for all protocols does not work any more (regresssion)
